In this workshop we will look at a variety of formulaic and observational techniques utilized to draw the head accurately. Although this workshop will focus on drawing the head, artists will find that these approaches can be applied to drawing any object. Focus will be placed upon planes, proportion and tone in order to convey structure and volume. We will draw from both long and short poses so that we get a chance to work with gesture, different angles, and value. Exploration and development of individual techniques and styles is encouraged. This workshop offers personalized instruction for beginners and continuing students.
