Phil Starke Workshop

Thank you, Phil, for a great workshop.   All students came away with a better understanding of value, temperature and shadow patterns.  Our work has definitely improved with your instruction.

The workshop focused on the importance of "seeing" as an artist and not as a camera. Simplifying values, shapes and color so that the painting works as a whole and not individual details.

You may find it annoying when you just stand by and watch without being able to capture them.
